Southern CA Green Economic Council continues the Wonderful Women in Green series with special speakers from Green Ribbon award winners Hughes Middle School.

On Wednesday, July 24th, the Southern CA Green Economic Council will present our next Speaker Series, “Wonderful Women in Green,” at The Expo Arts Center (4321 Atlantic Ave. LB) on July 24, 2013 at 6:00-8:00pm.

This month’s speaker series will feature strong and fearless women from all stages of life. Our esteemed speakers are parents from Hughes Middle School, a “Green Ribbon” Award School, and from Women in Non-Traditional Employment Roles (WINTER), Clark Construction and LB Office of Sustainability. 

These wonderful women will share their experiences and successes in sustainability, green education, training women for green-related trade jobs, green project management and environmental awareness. Don’t miss this up close and personal look at women, of all ages and backgrounds, greening it up in Long Beach and Southern CA.!

Stella Ursua founded the Southern CA Green Economic Council in May 2011 with the goals of educating citizens about green industries & professions, promoting the creation of good green jobs in Long Beach/Los Angeles communities, and supporting the expansion of renewable energy, energy efficiency and green building throughout Southern California. The Economic Council conducts the speaker series event on a bi-monthly basis in Long Beach and Los Angeles County communities. Stella is also the President of Green Education Inc., a community outreach and education organization located here in Long Beach.
