Little Games is a group exhibition featuring CSULB School of Art graduate students.

The opening of Little Games, a group exhibition featuring California State University, Long Beach School of Art graduate students will take place on January 12, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. during Second Saturday at ArtExchange Long Beach. The East Village arts district gallery, located at 350 East 3rd Street, Long Beach, will display the works of art through the month of January.

The eclectic grouping of artwork takes the form of illustration, installation, painting, photography, performance, and social practice. Though stylistically diverse, the work collectively touches on flexibility of meaning and its ties to perception, connection, and understanding.

Little Games is curated by Michael Nannery, a CSULB School of Art graduate student. “Specifically, we learn from our surroundings by playing with and against them”, said Nannery. “Furthermore, the exhibition showcases artwork aligned with ideas of a play, competition, engagement, and the elusive moment.”

The ArtExchange supports working artists and arts education through the development of a world-class visual arts center reflecting the rich cultural heritage of our community.

The exhibition features graduate students Alice Chiang, Brian Parkhill, Cynthia Herrera, Dane Klingaman, Debbie Carlson, Gabriel Garcia, Joshua Gagliardi, Renée Chartier, Robert Brown, Stefan Meyer and Tava Tedesco.
