Raffles 2011 American Music Awards Gifting Suite Display Piece for Charity

Brianne’s Basics , a local charity craft business, was featured at The IndiExhibit booth at the 2011 American Music Awards Gifting Suite, hosted by GBK Productions,on November 18 and 19 at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. And now everyone has a chance to own the display piece, a one of a kind Rachel Berry (Glee) amigurumi doll!

Celebrities who visited the event include Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Brooke Hogan, Chaka Khan, Darlene Love (Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee), Lil Jon, Soulja Boy, The Situation, Zach Woodlee (main choreographer, Glee), and many more.

Now, the public has a chance to win the amugurumi display piece, inspired by Rachel Berry on Glee. Tickets are $2 each, or 3 for $5, and will be available for purchase until December 14. First prize is the one of a kind Rachel doll. Second prize is an American Music Awards swag bag, similar to the one given to celebrities at the event. 100% of the proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House of Southern California.

Brianne’s Basics was created by Heather Nelson in 2000, and is focused on making affordable adorable gifts that pay it forward. In addition, Mrs. Nelson was a representative for the IndiExhibit on Saturday, November 19.

Brianne’s Basics is the brainchild of Heather Nelson, who wanted to combine her love of crafts and charity work. 75-100% of all profits are donated to various charities and events. In 2010 alone, their family donated over $2000. Organizations they have donated to in the past include Bears On Patrol, CHOC Walk In The Park, Give Kids The World, Operation Gratitude, Soldiers Angels, and many many more.

“Working the American Music Awards was phenomenal,” said Mrs. Nelson. “The IndiExhibit gives me a chance to combine both of my talents for crocheting and charity, while having fun with an amazing group of creative, like minded artists.”

Mrs. Nelson is also a member of The IndiExhibit, a non-profit organization that represents independent artists, designers, and creatives at the best celebrity gift lounges and events in Hollywood. Formed in 2010 by Shannon Justice of Lollipop Labs, Inc., The IndiExhibit features an array of talented international artists,crafters, jewelry designers, sculptors, photographers, writers, musicians, and more, who are looking to elevate their brand through celebrity gifting. Since its formation, The IndiExhibit has become extremely well know and a celebrity favorite at these events.

Mrs. Nelson’s work was previously featured at The IndiExhibit booth at the Sundance Film Festival, Golden Globes, and Primetime Emmys Gifting Suites. Mrs. Nelson has also been honored to work as a representative for The IndiExhibit at the MTV Movie Awards and the Primetime Emmys Gifting Suites.
