Local Event Planner Vies for Top Title in Readers Choice Awards; Voting is Now Open!

BizBash Magazine recently announced that Jen Poyer, CSEP of Long Beach, California, has been selected as a Finalist for the magazine’s first Readers’ Choice Awards in the category of Association/Nonprofit Event Planner of the Year.
Founded in 2000, BizBash is the leading trade media for the event industry. BizBash publishes magazines and e-newsletters, hosts websites, and produces tradeshows and award shows for corporate event and meeting professionals, event marketers, and sales, public relations, fund-raising, and human resource executives. In addition to the Los Angeles area, BizBash serves Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami/South Florida, New York, Orlando, Toronto and Washington D.C.
Poyer, an award-winning event professional, has lived in Long Beach her whole life, and is actively involved in the special event industry. She is the Immediate Past President of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES). Poyer specializes in producing events for non-profit organizations, and has worked for the Catalina Island Conservancy since 2007.

The winners of the 2011 BizBash Readers’ Choice Awards will be revealed on June 14, 2011 at the BizBash West Tradeshow and Conference at the Pasadena Convention Center.
