Local heroes to be honored at 42nd Annual Police Awards Ceremony

The Long Beach Police Department and the Long Beach Police Foundation are proud to announce that they will be hosting the 42nd Annual Police Awards Ceremony, where police officers, civilian police employees, and community members will be honored for their outstanding acts of bravery, dedication, and outstanding citizenship during the past year.

This year, KTTV Fox 11 News Anchor Christine Devine and News Reporter Tony Valdez will serve as the ceremony’s Guest Narrators.

The ceremony will be held as follows:

Wednesday, June 23, 2010
Carpenter Performing Arts Center
6200 Atherton Street
Long Beach, California
3:30 p.m. – Hosted Reception
5:00 p.m. – Presentation Ceremony

We are pleased to announce that this year’s “Platinum” sponsors are Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and British Petroleum, and our “Gold” sponsors are Signal Hill Petroleum, the Long Beach Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, and Farmers & Merchants Bank.  However, additional sponsors for this event are still needed.

Tickets for this event are available for purchase at the Long Beach Police Foundation’s website at a cost of $20.00 per person.  Children 12 and under are free, but a ticket is still required.  For additional information on the ceremony, please call (562) 570-5830.
