Naomi Rainey, President of the Long Beach Branch NAACP, announces the 2013 Public Education Month Program and 2013 “Public Educators Who Make a Difference”. This event will celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference by ensuring that every child receives a quality education. Each of the honorees are a testament that free public education and educated citizenry is the foundation of our nation’s democratic ideals and that a strong system of public schools is its cornerstone. The group of nominated educators and administrators go beyond the call of duty in improving the public education system and elevating student achievement.
The celebration will be held at 3:15pm on April 21, 2013 at Ernest McBride Sr. Park, 1550 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Long Beach, California 90813. A reception to recognize the honorees will follow the program. To RSVP for this program, e-mail email@example.com no later than Thursday, April 18, 2013.
Every April, the Masons of California and communities throughout the state celebrate Public Schools Month. This year, the theme is “Together we make a profound difference for public education.”
