Long Beach City College to Host Candidates Forum March 26th

A forum involving candidates running for the Second, Fourth and Eighth Long Beach City Council seats, the Long Beach Unified School District positions and the Long Beach City College trustee seats is scheduled Monday, March 26, 2012 at Long Beach City College.

Residents are invited to attend this free event and will have the opportunity to hear the candidates present their ideas, platforms, and goals.

Sponsored by a coalition of community groups, the candidate forum for the April 10 hopefuls is Monday, March 26, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at LBCC’s liberal arts campus, room T1200, in the large new building south of Carson Street and west of Clark Avenue.

Ample parking for $1 is available in the campus’s new structure at Carson and Clark, just east of T1200.

LBCC’s Model United Nations Student Group, sociology department and community studies project, the Long Beach NAACP, Shift Long Beach and the Long Beach Coalition for Good Jobs and a Healthy Community are co-sponsoring the forum.
