Founded in 1912, the Long Beach Day Nursery continues to be committed to providing the highest quality care and education for young children of working families in Greater Long Beach — giving young lives a solid start in life. LBDN was recently recognized by the California Community Foundation as an Unsung Hero, the only nonprofit in the South Bay/Long Beach area to have been awarded this recognition in Los Angeles County.
Currently, LBDN serves close to 350 children every year from diverse ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Approximately two-thirds of the families are low income and receive some form of financial assistance.
Celebrating its 97th year and founded in 1912 by Mrs. Florence Bixby, LBDN has the distinction of being the oldest early care and education program in Long Beach, and is one of the oldest in the State.
Players or businesses can maximize their investment in young lives by sponsoring a tee sign for only $125 and let everyone know you support the children of our community! Corporate sponsorship packages are also available, ranging from $5,000 to as low as $1,000.
