On Sunday July 15th Long Beach Heritage will host The Great Gatsby Garden Party at Peppertree Court at the historic Bembridge House.

Step back in time and celebrate the opening of Peppertree Court at the historic Bembridge House with a Great Gatsby Garden Party. Guests will experience the glamorous life of the Roaring Twenties reminiscent of the legendary parties featured in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, the Great Gatsby. After whispering the secret password, guests can enter the speakeasy to try their luck at winning prizes in games of chance. Throughout the evening, they can dance to the music of the jazz age, have their pictures taken in a vintage car and enjoy the garden supper and libations. Tours of the Bembridge House will also be available. Period attire of the 1920s and 1930s is greatly encouraged but not required.

The event will not only celebrate the opening of Peppertree Court but also showcase it as a venue available to rent for special occasions.  Peppertree Court is a beautifully restored garden with fountains and a gazebo just right for an elegant outdoor event. Proceeds will be utilized for the continued maintenance of Bembridge House.

The Great Gatsby Garden Party at Peppertree Court at the historic Bembridge House 953 N Park Circle Drive, In the Drake Park, Willmore City Historic District of Long Beach is Sunday July 15, 2012 from 3-7pm.
