Long Beach Job Corps Honored Staff Members on Veterans Day
2012-11-14 · By Editor
The Long Beach Job Corps Student Government Association celebrated Veterans Day by honoring staff members who have served in the military. Students conducted an outdoor ceremony highlighting each staff member’s service to our country and pinned a red, white, and blue ribbon on each.
Student Christina Soto and staff member Crystal Aguayo sang a spirited harmonizing version of the National Anthem. Student Government Association members introduced the veterans by naming their respective branch of service, occupation, rank, favorite duty station, and place of deployment. The entire student body and staff participated in the ceremony.
Later in the day, Long Beach Job Corps healthcare students continued to celebrate veterans day by visiting a local assisted living center to participate in a Veterans Day Ice Cream Social.
