Long Beach Lunch Truck It: Yum!

share this:

I love the idea of food trucks, and ever since the craze began I have been following them around. You may remember the first few times the Kogi Truck came to Long Beach, we were there. And during the Long Beach Street Festival, even more food trucks finally found out how awesome Long Beach really is. Now, with the announcement that ran in Everythinglongbeach.com about the weekly meet up that will be happening on Wednesday’s at Anaheim and Coronado, I could hardly pass it up!

The crowd was just gathering when I arrived around 11 a.m. and a few of the trucks were not serving yet, including the Lobsta Truck and The Sweets Truck, but Vizzi, Great Balls and RosasBellaCucina were all working hard and had fairly moderate lines.

There were high top tables every few feet to lean and eat, and most of the people were patiently waiting to try this new style of restaurant-goes-flash-mob eating.

There were meatballs, tacos, seafood and deliciousness all set up and serving the crowd in the sunshine.  The atmosphere was exciting and electric, like a lunch time party. This was and will be a great opportunity for locals to participate in the latest foodie trend while meeting other likeminded patrons.  I truly hope that this weekly event will be a success. Mainly because I want a Lobster Roll and a cupcake next time!
