With nearly 500,000 people, Long Beach is the 6th largest city in the California. Yet, if you live here you know it still feels like a “small town.” Long Beach locals are known for their neighborhood pride — from Belmont Shore and the East Village to Bixby Knolls and the Top of the Town — people here love their neighborhoods.
To celebrate this extraordinary collection of neighborhoods that make Long Beach special, EverythingLongBeach.com is hosting the Long Beach Neighborhoods Essay Contest.
The contest starts today and all entries must be turned in by October 2.
It’s easy to enter. Just write about 300 words telling us why you love your neighborhood — or any Long Beach neighborhood! Is it the people, the place, the entertainment? EverythingLongBeach.com will pick the finalist and Long Beach will vote for the winners.
Oh yeah, we have CASH and prizes too. Get all the details about the Long Beach Neighborhoods Essay Contest.
