Many have been asking for a workshop for Grantwriters and Development professionals who have been in the field for a while and looking to update their skills…well, here it is! LBNP will host a Advanced Grantwriting workshop Wednesday August 15, 2012.
With dwindling budgets and an increase in the number of organizations seeking funding, finding and securing a grant is becoming increasingly more difficult. This interactive workshop will take you through the grant application process, step-by-step. Identify common grantwriting blunders, clarify your program objectives and refine your proposal.
In this workshop, you will learn to:
- Identify current trends in grant seeking
- Develop a system of researching foundation, corporate, and government grants
- Dissect a grant application
- Proposal composition tips from start to finish
- Create a comprehensive budget for your proposal
- Develop an evaluation strategy to measure effectiveness
Facilitator: Theresa Lu, Ph.D. has over 16 years of management, research, and fund development experiences in non-profit organizations, ranging from grassroots agencies to universities. Since 2002, she has been the C.E.O. of Lu & Associates, a practice of professional grant writers and program evaluators. She has trained over 300 nonprofit organization staff and volunteers throughout Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside and Central California to become successful in the practice of grantsmanship
The LBNP Advanced Grantwriting workshop is Wednesday August 15, 2012 from 9:00am – 12:00pm at the LBNP Office Building Number: 0-2 4900 E. Conant St. Long Beach, CA 90808. Cost for the workshop is $40.00 for Members, $65.00 Non Members.
