City of Long Beach Continues Outreach Efforts for Southeast Area Specific Plan
2014-06-11 · By Editor
Outreach efforts are continuing for the preparation of the City of Long Beach Southeast Area Specific Plan (Plan), and the public is invited to attend upcoming events and provide input on the new Plan that will affect 1,500 acres of southeast Long Beach.
The next two Community Advisory Committee meetings have been scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, and Wednesday, July 9. In addition, a public workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, August 6. All three events will be held at 6:30 pm in the Seafarer Room at the Best Western Golden Sails Hotel, at 6285 E. Pacific Coast Highway.
All three events are free and will feature similar content – providing an overview of the goals and vision statement for the new Plan. They also will give the community an opportunity to review a summary of the preparations of the project’s land plan; the summary will be made available online in the next few weeks.
These events will build on earlier outreach efforts for the Plan. Additional community meetings and workshops will be scheduled during the three-year update process.
