Pre-School Classes With City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine!
We believe that it is never too soon to experience the fun and excitement of learning. The City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation & Marine is offering classes this summer for children as young as 6 months old to those about to start school. Your tot can learn anything from Mexican Folk Dance to early cooking skills. These classes provide opportunities to have fun and learn in a nurturing, social setting. Many classes require parent participation , which provides a wonderful bonding experience between parents and child. Be sure to register early for classes with enrollment limitations and to pay any required materials fee in cash at the first class meeting.
Classes are available in a wide variety of subjects, including Art & Culture, Dance, Music, Enrichment, and Sports.
Summer Youth Classes With City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine!
As children grow, so do their interests. Parks, Recreation and Marine has classes that will keep your youngster active and engaged this summer with a wide variety of subjects that are sure to provide some fun and learning experiences. Your child can take courses in anything from playing the ukulele to sand sculpting techniques.

Summer Teen Classes With City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine!
Parks, Recreation and Marine is now offering two teen-specific classes this summer, with Driver’s Education and Teen Beat Camp.
Driver’s Education is a California – required course for teens to receive a driver’s license. It is the first step that must be taken to receive a driver’s permit. Course includes parental involvement and is fun, interactive and educational. Coursework can be completed at any time of day or night, and you may choose from an successful completion of the course. Classes does not include behind- the- wheel driving. Instructor: All Good Education Corp. classes begin July 2nd-Aug 6th.
Teen Beat Camp. Have you ever wanted to be the editor in chief of your favorite magazine? Now is your chance to create the content and layout design of your very own!Fill it with make-ups tips, fashion, advice columns, and amazing photographs. At the end of the week you will debut the first edition. Instructors: Entertainment Arts Staff.
Adults Classes With City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine!
Activities and learning are great ways to spend free time this summer and relieve some of the daily stress. Parks, Recreation and Marine is offering adult classes in a variety of subjects to expand your knowledge and explore your interest. Learn to do anything from calligraphy to exotic Indian cooking, from belly dancing to how to sell on E-Bay. The opportunities are endless. Be sure to register early for classes with enrollment limitations and to pay any required materials fee in cash at the first class meeting.

Age 50+ Classes With City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine!
Taking classes with Parks, Recreation and Marine is a great way to stay active and social for individuals ages 50 and up. Meet people who share your interests while doing your favorite activities or learning to do something new. Most classes fees are payable per person per individual class.
Classes are available in a variety of subjects, including Enrichment, Dance, Music, and Fitness. Courses include Bridge, Ballroom Dancing, Voice Class, Tai Chi Chuan, and Silver Age Yoga.
