Long Beach Shakespeare Company Presents Sherlock Holmes and the Valley of Fear
2015-01-07 · By Editor
The Long Beach Shakespeare Company presents Sherlock Holmes and the Valley of Fear, adapted from Arthur Conan Doyle’s novel for a live webcast, performed in the old-time-radio style, with live sound effects performed by the actors.
The adventure features the lurking presence of Professor Moriarity, a murderous band of Pennsylvanian thugs, the Pinkerton Detective Agency, a mysterious murder, and Sherlock Holmes in one of his most energetic and deductive investigations.
The murder occurs in a castle, surrounded by a moat. How did the killer get away with the drawbridge up? Where is the victim’s wedding ring? What is the significance of the calling card left at the scene with the message, “VV341?” And why is there a missing dumb-bell?
Sherlock Holmes finds the answers and solves the case, using his amazing powers of observation and deductive reasoning.
LBSC invites you to join in our Centennial Celebration of the publication of the fourth and final Sherlock Holmes novel, The Valley of Fear. Watch the actors bring the story to life in the style of the Golden Age of Radio.
