Today, the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters (LALCV) announced their endorsement of Rex Richardson for the 9th District City Council seat. The LALCV is the only environmental Political Action Committee in Los Angeles. They support candidates who exhibit a knowledge of, and commitment to, preserving and protecting the environment.
“I am proud to receive the endorsement of the LALCV today,” remarked Richardson. “Maintaining and expanding the green spaces in my District is something that I’ve worked to achieve as Chief-of-Staff to current Councilman Steve Neal. Not only have we pushed to revitalize the DeForest Wetlands, but we have also advocated for better air quality. As City Councilman, I will continue to focus on improving environmental outcomes in my District.”
The LALCV joins the Sierra Club in their endorsement of Rex Richardson.
Rex Richardson is the Chief-of-Staff to current 9th District Councilman Steve Neal and a former labor organizer for SEIU Local 721, where he advocated for the rights and advancement of over 80,000 public service workers in Southern California. A graduate of Leadership Long Beach and the Leon and Sylvia Panetta Institute for Public Policy Leadership Seminar at CSU-Monterey Bay, Rex is an Executive Board Representative of the California Democratic Party and former two-term president of the Long Beach Democratic Club. He and his wife, Nina, live in the Coolidge Triangle neighborhood with their dogs, Rocky and Kizzy.
