Meet Police Chief Jim McDonnell on Nov. 3

chief-jim-mcdonnell Residents are invited to meet Long Beach Police Chief Jim McDonnell on Wednesday, November 3, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Neighborhood Resource Center, 425 Atlantic Ave.

Chief McDonnell will share information about the Long Beach Police Department and talk about services that can help neighborhoods and the community at large.  This is an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas for improving neighborhoods.

Chief McDonnell was appointed to his position in March 2010, and is responsible for 1,500 employees and a $200 million budget. He has received numerous community and department awards, including the Los Angeles Police Department’s highest award for bravery, the Medal of Valor.

Attendees are invited to bring canned food to donate to Food Finders to assist our Long Beach neighbors during the current economic crisis.

This free workshop will be presented in English with Spanish and Khmer translation available. Free parking is available behind the building and on the street.
