On Monday, 1st District School Board Candidate Megan Kerr received the endorsement of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 11.
“We are proud to endorse Megan Kerr for this seat,” said IBEW Local 11 Political Director Antonio Sanchez. “She understands the importance of providing Long Beach students with high-quality facilities and classrooms, and we look forward to partnering with her when she is on the School Board.”
“I am happy to have the support of the IBEW Local 11,” Kerr commented. “The IBEW is an organization that upholds a standard for jobs and wages that support individuals and families. My goal is to ensure that once our kids leave the school system they are ready to fill any job in any field that they choose. I am proud that the IBEW Local 11 believes that I have the capacity to help our School Board to achieve this goal.”
IBEW Local 11 joins the Teachers Association of Long Beach (TALB) as well as the Long Beach Police Officers Association (LBPOA) and the Long Beach Firefighters (LBFF) in endorsing the Kerr campaign.
