Miss California USA Hopefuls Meet in Long Beach for Orientation November 9

Two hundred young women from across California will meet at the Westin Long Beach on Sunday, November 9, 2014 starting their journey to become the next Miss California USA® or Miss California Teen USA®. The orientation will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Contestants will take their official headshot for the pageant program book and greet with vendors in the fashion and beauty industry including Disney Casting, LA Models and IMAGE Skin Care; all to help prepare them for the pageant weekend set for Jan. 9-11, 2015 at the Long Beach Terrace Theater.
In addition, the pageant will be hosting an exclusive former titleholder alumni dinner at the Federal Bar in Long Beach from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nearly twenty former titleholders will be in attendance including Miss California USA 1974 Gayle Correll, Miss California USA 2007 Meagan Tandy, who currently stars on the MTV’s Teen Wolf and Alyssa Campanella who was Miss California USA 2011 and crowned Miss USA that year.
Miss California USA® 2015, Cassandra Kunze is a native San Diegan and was a top 10 finalists and named Miss Photogenic at this year’s Miss USA competition. Bianca Vierra, Miss California Teen USA 2015 is a student at UCLA and from Hayward, CA and was 3rd runner up at Miss Teen USA.
Tickets for the pageant go on sale Nov. 8 via Ticketmaster or the Terrace Theater box office. The winner of Miss California Teen USA will go on to compete at the national Miss USA® competition which is televised live on NBC. The winner of Miss California Teen USA will go on to compete at Miss Teen USA®. Long Beach, CA was the location of the first Miss USA and Miss Universe competitions, held concurrently in 1952. “We are excited to return to Long Beach,” says Pageant Producer Pam Wilson. “We know the contestants and families coming for the pageant will enjoy the many activities in the area.”
