The Fifth and Final Mojitos & Mutts Event by i Love Dogs and Hotel Maya to Benefit spcaLA!

Our Howl’oween Spooktacular will showcase a costume contest, groovy gift bags and prizes!
Hey dog lovers! Do you also love Halloween? i Love Dogs and Hotel Maya are holding their fifth and final “Mojitos & Mutts” Happy Hour. In keeping with the tradition of Mojitos & Mutts, we’re combining the fun of mingling with dog lovers and their party-friendly pooches with a terrific drink and hors d’oeuvre menu—all while benefiting companion animals!
We’re excited to announce that this event will benefit our good friends at spcaLA, a Southern California rescue. i Love Dogs and Hotel Maya co-hosted a food drive benefit for spcaLA back in March. The success of that event sparked the idea for the Mojitos & Mutts series.
We are inviting all animal lovers and their pooches to Mojitos & Mutts, but attendees are encouraged to bring food, toys and supplies that can help a shelter such as the spcaLA to continue saving lives. Fortunately, if that toy happens to be a KONG, the KONG Company will generously match the donation!
And it wouldn’t be Howl’oween without goodies and treats for all! Retailers Pussy & Pooch will be back with their “Paw Bar” and Chewsy Dog will offer fun goodies. Newcomers to Mojitos & Mutts, local retailers Zoom Room will donate a fab gift basket, as will By Nature pet food. We’re also excited to announce that Bark Pet Photography will serve as official event photographer.
Other companies that have made this evening possible include Pup-Peroni treats, Petrol Fuel for Dogs, Worldwise and FIDO Friendly, all of who have donated items to make up some seriously cool gift bags.
And don’t forget to dress up your pooch! All costumed pups will receive extra treats courtesy of Pup-Peroni and your dog may even win a prize in our contest! Pet parents are also welcome to join in the costumed fun!
The Final Mojitos & Mutts Event is Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from 6:30-8:30pm at the Hotel Maya (on the Esplanade patio): 700 Queensway Drive, Long Beach, 90802. Ph: 562-481-3910. Directions
