Marriage, Mayhem and Musicals! to take the stage for MTW Spring Fundraiser May 22, 2011

Musical Theatre West presents an afternoon to die for with a wedding-themed murder mystery that includes food, wine and song in Marriage, Mayhem and Musicals! This special event will take place at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the beautiful home of MTW board member Jim Choura and his wife Melanie in Lakewood.

Guests will be treated to a beautiful “wedding reception” for the happy couple. As expected with any wedding reception, there will be food, wine and music but just maybe at this wonderful gathering – someone gets bumped off before they cut the cake. Who will it be? A nervous bride, a meddling mother-in-law or a cad of a best-man? Will someone really have to sing for their supper? Or will they get sixty to life in Sing-Sing?

We’re dying to have you join us for this unique Musical Theatre West event. Come play detective as you help support Southern California’s Premiere Musical Theatre Company.

Marriage, Mayhem and Musicals! will be at the private residence of MTW board member Jim Choura and his wife Melanie in Lakewood on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person. Tables of ten are $800 with VIP tables (which include wine, party favors and more) are available at $1,000. Event will be held outdoors and all guests are advised to dress appropriately. Tickets can be purchased through the MTW box office 562-856-1999 x4.

Proceeds from this event will go towards the expansion of MTWs education and outreach program.

Coming soon to close out Musical Theatre West’s 2010-2011 season is the professional western regional premiere of The Wedding Singer, July 8-24, 2011.
