Musical Theatre West presents A Chorus Line, the show that is one singular sensation! The hopes, dreams and lives of a group of dancers at an audition for a Broadway show are exposed by the director in an effort to get to know the people “on the line.” Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award for Best Musical, this modern classic features the songs “Dance: Ten, Looks: Three,” “Nothing,” “What I Did For Love,” and “One.” A Chorus Line opens on Saturday, April 13 at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center. Rated PG-13 for adult themes and language.

A Chorus Line is directed and choreographed by Roger Castellano, with musical direction by David Lamoureux.

Opening weekend is sold out, and due to overwhelming demand, two performances have been added to the run – Saturday, April 27, at 2pm and Sunday, April 28, at 7pm. A Chorus Line previews on Friday, April 12, at 8pm, opens on Saturday, April 13, at 8pm, and continues through Sunday, April 28. Performances are Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm and 7pm. There is also a performance on Thursday, April 25, at 8pm, but there is no 2pm performance on April 13 and no 7pm performance on April 14. Musical Theatre West performs at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center located at 6200 E. Atherton Street, Long Beach, CA 90815.

Tickets for A Chorus Line are on sale now and can be purchased online at www.musical.org or by phone at 562-856-1999 x4. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Musical Theatre West Box Office located at 4350 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90804 from 12pm to 6pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays. Tickets start at $20. Running time is 2 hours with no intermission. The show is rated PG-13 for adult themes and language.

A Chorus Line is the third show of Musical Theatre West’s 2012-2013 60th Anniversary Season. The Honorary Producer is Kathryn Baker Campbell, Associate Producer is K C Wilson, and Youth Performances are underwritten by Edward Parker.
