Neighborhood Resource Center Hosts “FUNDseeking Basics” Workshop

The Neighborhood Resource Center will host a “FUNDseeking Basics” workshop on Monday, April 20, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

John Glaza, Director of Capacity Development Services at the Long Beach Nonprofit Partnership, will discuss:

  • How to locate funding opportunities
  • Who gives grants/differences in funding sources
  • How to determine if a funder is a good match
  • How to identify organizational information essential for a grant proposal
  • Tips for writing winning proposals
  • What grant reviewers look for when evaluating proposals

This free workshop will be presented in English with Spanish and Khmer translation available. Please call 48 hours in advance for Khmer translation. The Neighborhood Resource Center is located at 425 Atlantic Ave. Free parking is available behind the building and on the street.
