Great Fall Classes Available for Everyone From Parks, Recreation and MarineFrom youth science fun to vegetarian cooking to ballroom dancing, Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine is offering the following new classes for all ages and interests in April.

Youth Enrichment: Fun-damentals of Science
Explore the many facets of science with this all-inclusive camp from Mad Science! Transform the room into a crime lab to collect fingerprints and clues, and learn how science is used to solve a crime. Hunt for hidden animals and minerals as we explore our earth. Build your very own glider and discover the fabulous force of gravity! This course is for children ages 5 to 12, $112 per participant. Fun-damentals of Science class will take place on Mondays, April 9 to June 4, from 4 to 5 pm at Heartwell Park.

Adult Cooking: Phooey to Tofu Vegetarian Meals
Learn to cook vegetarian from someone who loves veggies and tasty food. On the menu: roasted new potatoes and root veggies with rosemary, butternut squash with savory sage butter over pasta, and down-home grilled cheese with heirloom tomato sandwiches. This class is for adults, ages 18 and older, $25 per participant with a $20 cash-only material fee. Class will take place Wednesday, April 11, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm at College Park Estates.

Adult Dance: Ballroom/Foxtrot for Beginners
Learn a great dance that’s fun, smooth, and easier than you think! Check out this introductory workshop that is sure to give you a stress-free start. Singles welcome, partners rotate. This course is for ages 14 and older, $30 per person. Class will take place Saturdays, April 14 to 21, from 1:30 to 3 pm at El Dorado Park West.
