The Go-Kart Charity Race-off and “Roar at Belmont Shore” will both be held on Wed., April 11 and are free to the public.
The Go-Kart Charity Race-off, from 2 p.m. -9 p.m.at Alamitos Bay Landing, 109 N. In addition, fans attending the event will be able to test their skills in those same go-karts.
The event will benefit the Graham Rahal Foundation, Alex’s Lemonade Stand and the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps.
The “Roar at Belmont Shore,” held in association with the Belmont Shore Business Association, takes place from 6 p.m.-8:30 pm. on Second St., between Corona and Covina, in Belmont Shore. The event includes live music, racing simulators, car displays, driver autograph sessions and Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach tickets and race gear giveaways.
The new events provide a perfect lead-in to Thursday’s popular “Tecate Thunder on Pine,” free to the public from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. on Pine Ave. in downtown Long Beach. “Tecate Thunder on Pine” features pit stop demonstrations with Indy cars, freestyle motocross, live music, a car show, driver autograph sessions and the finals of the 2012 Tecate Light Miss Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach pageant on the outdoor stage.
