Southern California Chapter of NOBLE Honors LBPD Detective Jackie Bezart

The Long Beach Police Department is pleased to announce that Violent Crimes Detective Jackie Bezart has been selected as a recipient of the 2011 “Homer L. Garrot Community Service Award” by the Southern California Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (“NOBLE”). This annual event highlights individuals who are committed to community service, professionalism, and dedication to the people they serve.
Detective Jackie Bezart has faithfully served the City of Long Beach for sixteen years, eleven of which as an officer with the Long Beach Police Department. She represented the Department for five years as a Public Information Officer, where she was committed to developing and maintaining open and transparent lines of communication between the community and the Department. She has been a well-respected officer and advocate for victims and their families for many years, and as a Violent Crimes detective for this past year, she continues to build and maintain positive relationships between the community and the Long Beach Police Department.
Detective Bezart will be recognized at the Tenth Annual Achiever’s dinner on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at USC Town and Gown, 665 Exposition Boulevard, Los Angeles, 90089.
