dreamers-into-doersHave you turned a pastime into a career? A passion into a service? Or a dream into a reality that benefited a local community? A prize opportunity from Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO) will recognize 3 deserving women in their “Dreamers into Doers / People’s Choice Contest.” Share your story with them in a 250-word essay and describing how you, a friend, or relative was instrumental in starting an existing successful business venture or a non-profit organization.

A previous year’s finalist was nominated for her determination to transform a trash-filled utility strip along a busy local road into a community flower garden, and she formed a nonprofit organization of local families. This sounds like something many of you already do to improve Long Beach!
