Councilmember Neal Hosts North Long Beach Community Assembly

Councilmember Steven Neal invites North Long Beach families to the first “North Long Beach Community Assembly,” Saturday July 23, 2011 at Houghton Park. This assembly will provide a platform for neighbors to meet each other, receive neighborhood updates, and discuss the progress of the North Long Beach community.
The event will feature presentations from neighborhood associations, Redevelopment Agency, Police Department, Health Department, among others. This event offers the opportunity for residents to meet their neighbors and learn more about their community. Those who attend will have the opportunity to join the guest list for the 9th District Harbor cruise set for July 27.
Special guests include Councilmember Steven Neal, Councilwoman Rae Gabelich, City Prosecutor Doug Haubert, City Manager Pat West, North Patrol Commander Galen Carroll, Maintenance Bureau Manager Ramon Arevalo and North Project Officer Tony Foster.
The North Long Beach Community Assembly is Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 9 a.m. – Noon at Houghton Park 6301 Myrtle Avenue, Long Beach, 90805.
“This is a great opportunity for residents to meet neighborhood associations and get a snapshot of our unique, active, and proud community,” said Councilmember Steven Neal “We are starting to see significant and visible improvements take shape in North Long Beach. There are many new and exciting projects still to come, and the North Long Beach Community Assembly is a great opportunity to learn about new developments and get involved,” said Councilwoman Rae Gabelich.
