The office of Vice Mayor Robert Garcia and the Departments of Parks, Recreation & Marine, and Public Works invite the public to attend a dedication ceremony for the new Craftsman Village Park on Saturday, September 14 at 10 am. Craftsman Village Park is located at 851 Orange Avenue in Long Beach.

“Each new park in Long Beach is a cause for celebration, and Craftsman Village Park is the third to open this year in the City of Long Beach,” Mayor Bob Foster said. “This park will bring the community together, and encourage a more active, healthy lifestyle.”

The new .34-acre park includes craftsman inspired fencing and entry features, native plantings, trees, walkways, lighting, benches and picnic tables as well as a small turf area and play elements.

“I’d like to personally thank our residents for helping to design this new park, which will provide much needed green space for the beautiful Craftsman Village Historic District,” said Vice Mayor Garcia, who represents the First Council District.

The project is funded by a $722,465 grant from the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program.
