Original Lobster Festival Signals the End of Sea Festival 2011The 2011 Original Long Beach Lobster Festival, Fri., Sat. and Sun., September 9 thru 11 in Rainbow Lagoon, will help add a delicious touch to the waning summer season.

The Lobster Festival, 2011 Long Beach Sea Festival event, will highlight three days of feasting on tons of fresh Maine lobster, steamed in the world’s largest cooker and served by Bristol Farms master chefs. Ribs, chicken and a variety of international foods and adult beverages will also be available.

The festivities include a beach bar, kid’s area, dance floor and two stages featuring live swing, R&B, Salsa, 70s/80s decades and dance music by a variety of local artists, as well as a live sports tent sponsored by DIRECTV, where attendees can watch their favorite sports events.

The Lobster Festival, largest of its kind outside of the state of Maine, will be open from 5 p.m.-11 p.m. Friday, noon-11 p.m. Saturday and noon-10 p.m. Sunday. Advance discount tickets for general admission only and general admission with lobster feast are available on-line until noon Fri., Sept. 9. Regular-priced tickets will also be available at the on-site ticket office. Active-duty U.S. military personnel and kids under 12 accompanied by an adult receive free admission.
