Comedic Indian film actor Paresh Rawal is back in Long Beach to perform his newest stage play “Dear Father.” The two act play, which features Rawal in a double role, makes a stop at the Terrace Theater on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 7:30PM. This show is a presentation of Super Entertainment.
“Dear Father” is based on a very popular and award winning Marathi play, “Katkon Trikon.” The story goes into the lives of the Mankad family, comprising of father, Mr. Manu Mankad, son, Ajay Mankad and daughter in law Alka Mankad. On the surface they may seem like any other family living next door to you, but behind this facade of a happy family there are secrets everyone is trying to bury.
The show is filled with new gags and skits showcasing Rawal who has been involved with Bollywood films since the 1980’s. Rawal has performed in hundreds of hit movies such as: Hera Pheri, Pher Hera Pheri, Golmaal, Chup Chup Ke, Bhool Bhulaiya, Paa, 36 China Town, and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge. The actor has received numerous accolades for his work including a National Film Award, three Star Screen Awards, and three Filmfare Awards.
“We are thrilled to welcome Paresh Rawal back to the Terrace Theater,” said Dan Spellens, Director of Theaters & Entertainment for SMG at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. “His shows are always entertaining and we look forward to hosting his newest stage play,” he concluded.
