Councilmember Robert Garcia has released a list of the private and city-owned lots that have been opened to public overnight parking in the First District through the Councilmember’s Parking Initiative.

“One of my priorities when I took office was to improve the parking situation,” said Garcia. “These open lots will not solve all of our parking challenges, but it’s a step in the right direction. We will continue to look for new lots, and explore other parking suggestions and solutions including the reduction of red curb space, diagonal parking on appropriate wide streets, adding bike lanes to reduce auto traffic, and permitted parking.”

The list, included below, shows the 10 different lots participating through the voluntary program. These spaces are on private and public lots and are now available to residents. Monthly permits range from $20 – $40 depending on the lot.
