Pier 76 Fish Grill Offers New Healthy Dining Experience

Pier 76 Fish Grill is a welcome addition to Long Beach’s dining options offering health conscious, chef inspired seafood at affordable prices in a casual setting. Executive Chef Chris Krajacic, formerly Executive Chef of Walt’s Wharf in Seal Beach, has opened a new restaurant that is receiving rave reviews by the local community.
The eatery’s concept is fresh, seasonal, creative and American. Chef Krajacic and his team serve fresh, ingredient-inspired, wholesome food for people who really care about what they eat– and at an affordable price point. His most popular menu items, Langostino & Lobster Roll (made with ingredients such as candied bacon, cilantro, chipotle bleu cheese and ‘pure love’ priced at $12) and Grilled Fish Sandwich (with lemon aoli, pickled red onion, local greens and sweet pea shoots priced at $7.50) offer the quality of food one would expect in an upscale restaurant but in a relaxing atmosphere.
At Pier 76 Fish Grill, you won’t find processed ingredients in the kitchen, as everything is derived from wholesome simplicity and made from scratch with bold flavors using bright acidity such as lemon juice in lieu of heavy butters for flavor.
“At Pier 76 Fish Grill, our foundation is built on local and seasonally fresh ingredients conceptualized in a handmade, new American style,” says Chef Krajacic. “Our goal is to deliver a daily spread of deliciousness: from our soul warming Clam Chowder to California Mussels & Fries, freshly made Ceviche and, of course, the simple preparations of the fish in the grill. Our items stress simplicity with flavor.”
Getting here wasn’t simple for Chef Krajacic. Born in the local area, he is a surfer, sailor and seafood chef at heart. Raised in Orange County, Chef Krajacic never expected to land in Long Beach as a result of tremendous misfortune two years ago. After leaving his seven year post as Executive Chef of Walt’s Wharf, he hit the open ocean from Florida on a sailing adventure, bound for Australia. It was a fateful trip. While in Tahiti, his boat was destroyed and sank in a tragic fire. He lost everything: every penny, all of his clothes and personal possessions. Chef Krajacic returned to Southern California to create his vision: “An American Seafood Eatery.”
