Police Make Arrests in Recent Murder Case

murder suspect arrestedLong Beach Police have made two arrests in the July 1, 2012 murder of a woman who was stabbed at an apartment complex in the 30 block of E. Plymouth Street during a dispute.

On the afternoon of Monday, July 2, 2012, Long Beach Police Homicide detectives arrested 46-year-old Sandra Howard, and her daughter, 21-year-old Tara Howard, both from Long Beach, for the murder of 39-year-old Tekeisha Neeley of Long Beach. Both women were booked for murder and are being held at the Long Beach City Jail on $1,000,000 bail.

The stabbing stemmed from a dispute that occurred at the location where the victim was a visitor. Sometime during the dispute, the victim was stabbed in the upper torso and pronounced deceased after arriving at the hospital.

No additional details regarding the motive are available at this time due to the ongoing investigation. However, detectives are looking for additional witnesses or anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
