Human Dignity Program, LBPD and Others Team To Host Police and Youth Dialogue

The City of Long Beach Human Dignity Program, LBGRIP Project, the California Conference for Equality and Justice (CCEJ), and the Long Beach Police Department are hosting a 3-day Police & Youth Dialogue February 16, 18 & 23, 2011 at the North Long Beach Community Center (formerly PAL Center).
Youth ages 12-18 or grades 7th-12th in the North Long Beach Area who are interested in coming together in a safe environment to engage in conversations around issues with police officers are encouraged to attend. Participants must be able to attend all 3 evenings.
There is no charge to participate in the dialogue.
Dinner will be served ~ Service Learning hours available ~ Door prizes.
The 3-day Police & Youth Dialogue is February 16, 18 & 23, 2011 5:30p – 8:00p at the North Long Beach Community Center 2311 E. South Street, Long Beach 90805 (adjacent to Food 4 Less).
There is limited space and registration is required. All participants must be 12-18 years old and are required to attend all 3 dates.
