Resolve to Help a Youth in the New Year: POWER 4 Youth Seeking Volunteers

As a new year begins, POWER 4 Youth seeks volunteers with a couple hours a week free who can meet one-on-one with a student weekly at a supervised site in the Long Beach area.

POWER 4 Youth provides one-on-one academic mentoring to middle school students. Through POWER 4 Youth, students achieve academically while building a strong one-on-one relationships with caring adult. The program is free to all participants. Volunteers also receive free training and background screening prior to working with a student.

By making a commitment to work with a struggling student for the New Year, volunteers create a hopeful future for a young person, investing in the prosperity of the community.

Adults interested in learning more are invited to attend an information/orientation meeting on Wednesday, January 11 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 E. 7th Street in Long Beach. For more information, please call (562) 435-2352 or email, info@power4youth.org.
