The All American Melodrama Theater and Music Hall continues its 2010 Season with Robin Hoodwinked: The Melodrama Adventures of Robin Hood. This hilarious parody opened March 12th and runs until May 2nd, will entertain the whole family.

Written and directed by Ken Parks, Robin Hoodwinked is a comic melodrama farce full of romance, a heroic battle of good and evil, and lots of dudes in tights.

Famous “do gooder”, Robin Hood, lives with his band of merry men in Sherwood Shwartz Forrest. Together, they set out to over throw the nefarious Sheriff of Rottingham. Maid Marion, the true heir to the title of Sheriff, must marry her one true love to assume her rightful place in the kingdom. Will Robin overthrow the Sheriff and marry Marion in time? Audiences will find out as this zany, interactive satire comes to a thrilling conclusion. Heroes in tennis shoes and tights, daring duels with golf putters, and a minstrel who tells tales through old TV theme songs are just part of this twisted take on the Robin Hood legend. “It’s Monty Python meets Mel Brooks as told by Carol Burnett”, says the plays author, Ken Parks.

Robin Hoodwinked is the second show of The All American Melodrama’s 2010 Season. Then it’s off to the streets of London in the mystery parody, “Sheerluck Jones.” A rollicking send-up of the “High School Musical” franchise called “Home School Musical follows this. Don’t miss the vampire satire, “Night Light” and just in time for Halloween comes a spoof of everyone’s favorite singing nanny “Scary Poppins”. The 2010 season ends with a merry romp about Christmas in “The Bing Martin Christmas Special”.

The evening also includes one of The Melodrama’s signatures musical, comedy revues following the show. The “Crime and Punishment” olio features a tribute to classic cops.

Food is available from an á la Carte menu in the theater’s pub. The menu includes spaghetti, sandwiches, jumbo hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, sodas, beer and scrumptious desserts.
