Join Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia for the lighting of Long Beach’s tallest holiday tree.

The public is invited to this FREE festive event as we kick off the holiday season with holiday cheer, games, and treats for the whole family.

Bring your camera for pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There will also be holiday photo booths, a Kid’s Train for rides, a brass band, DJ, Choirs, complimentary holiday sweets, and lots of fun for everyone.

Free parking available in the Convention Center’s Terrace Theater parking structure.

The Terrace Plaza Christmas tree is the tallest in Long Beach at 50 feet and will be lit with 66,000 colorful LED lights. The Terrace Plaza itself boasts an additional 66,000 LED lights and will be decorated in full holiday style with professional theatrical lighting, glowing seasonal decorations, giant lighted reindeer, plus some special surprises.

Along with the Terrace Plaza lights, downtown Long Beach will burst with colorful holiday cheer with more than 191,000 LEDs and other types of lighting, including pole lights, giant glowing Christmas wreaths, colorful garlands twinkling above the downtown streets, and thousands of seasonal lights on buildings and structures.

The tree lighting event is Tuesday, November 29 – 5 p.m. / 8 p.m. (tree lighting at 6 p.m.) at the Terrace Theater Plaza, Long Beach Convention Center, 300 E. Ocean Blvd.

Tree lighting festivities sponsored by the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center/SMG, and the Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau.
