Red Cross plans Adult CPR class in Paramount

The Greater Long Beach Chapter of the Red Cross has scheduled an Adult CPR Saturday on March 13, from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Progress Park Plaza, 15500 Downey Avenue in Paramount.
This CPR training course teaches participants how to respond to victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Participants gain the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for cardiac emergencies in emergency situations until advanced medical personnel arrive.
Persons 12 years and older can receive certification upon successful completion of class (includes written test). The American Red Cross CPR certification is valid for one year. Certificates will be issued upon successful completion of your course.
The chapter will offer the Adult CPR training at a reduced price of $10. The registration deadline is Tuesday, March 9 and must be done at the Paramount Sheriff’s Station. Once registered, no refunds or transfers to another class will be allowed.

The Red Cross CPR Saturday for Long Beach typically takes place each year in May at Long Beach City College.
