Board of Supervisors Offers Reward in Long Beach Homicide Investigation

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, at the recommendation of Supervisor Don Knabe, issued a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of 50-year-old Seaborn Mason of Long Beach.
On Monday, July 23, 2012, at approximately 11:19 p.m., Long Beach Police responded to a shooting call in the 400 block of E. South Street, which resulted in the death of Victim Mason. When officers arrived, they discovered the victim lying on the sidewalk. He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased. A motive for the shooting is still unknown. However, detectives are hopeful that someone with information regarding the shooting will come forward.
