The ROCK Church Wants to do Your Laundry

On Saturday, May 10, 2014 The ROCK Christian Fellowship in Long Beach, California will provide free Laundry Washes and Dryers for the surrounding community.

This is the sixth time The ROCK Long Beach has provided this no-strings attached opportunity. Each one has increased in reception.

“It is our experience that when families are faced with a decision between food, bills, gas for the car, daycare or other expenses, laundry becomes the least important of those demands and subsequently piles up. We believe that part of our call is to create unique channels of strategic blessings. We realize these are interesting economic times for many people. This is our way to share the load”, states ROCK Senior Pastor, Gregory Sanders.

The community is invited to participate in this first-come, first-serve opportunity. The ROCK will provide seven regular washers and seven regular dryers free to the public. The idea is simple Sanders explains; “you bring your laundry, you place it in the washers and dryers and we will pay for it.”

The ROCK believes that Laundry Days are a way for to serve the families of Long Beach who need it most. It is the heart and vision of The ROCK to display our love, appreciation and encouragement for everyone in the city of Long Beach.

There are no strings, conditions or expectations attached. People simply bring their laundry, we will bring the quarters.

Free Laundry Day will take place at Mama’s Coin Laundry, 6163 Atlantic Ave., (near Jordan High School), on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 8:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. (or until they run out of quarters).

The ROCK Christian Fellowship is a Non-Denominational Ministry that meets every Sunday morning at Florence Bixby Elementary School for 10:00 A.M. service. Florence Bixby Elementary School is located at 5251 E. Stearns Street, Long Beach, California 90815.
