Westerly student’s had a fantastic cultural experience as the school has hosted small groups of Chinese students over the past couple weeks. The Chinese students are visiting beautiful California in hopes of improving their English, gaining a better understanding of the United States Education system and doing a little sightseeing in their free time.
Westerly School’s 6th through 8th grade Leadership class is reaching out to provide hope for kids fighting homelessness. Goodwill, Serving the People of Southern Los Angeles County (Goodwill SOLAC) and Westerly School teamed up to hold a goods collection drive and filled up a Goodwill truck with more than a ton of clothing, furniture and assorted household goods at the school’s campus on Monday, June 11.
