Seismic Trucks in the 5th District This Week

The Long Beach Geophysical Survey uses state of the art technology to image and map geological strata and potential faults of the Long Beach area.

This week, the Vibro-Seis truck will again be in the 5th District to perform acoustic tests to create maps of the underground.

Wednesday, February 1st – Survey trucks on Stearns Street going west from Studebaker Road to Vuelta Grande Avenue. Then on Palo Verde Avenue going south from Stearns Street to Atherton Street. Then on Atherton Street going west from Palo Verde Avenue to Fanwood Avenue.

Thursday, February 2nd – Survey trucks on Stearns Street going west from Vuelta Grande Avenue to Bellflower Boulevard.

Friday, February 3rd – Survey trucks at CSULB South of Pyramid going east from Mariam Way to Palo Verde Avenue. Then on State University Drive – E. Campus Drive going west from Palo Verde Avenue to 7th Street.

Saturday, February 4th – Survey trucks at CSULB Parking lot west of Pyramid going east from Earl Warren Drive to Mariam Way. Then at Parking lot SE’ of Japanese Garden going northwest from parking to Earl Warren Drive. Then on Earl Warren Drive going south from parking to E. State University Drive. Then on Mariam Way going north from E. State University Drive to Atherton Street. Then on Earl Warren Drive going south from Atherton Street to the Drainage Channel.
