The Sierra Club will host its regular monthly meeting Wednesday, August 6, 2014. This month, Muriel Horacek will provide a presentation titled “Sex and Mischief at the Los Angeles Zoo”.
Muriel has been a docent at the L.A. Zoo for over 4 years and will discuss how zoos serve as a modern-day Noah’s Ark in preserving species, avoiding inbreeding by exchanging animals between zoos. She’ll also discuss her experience working with animals and how intelligent they can be.
The Sierra Club monthly meeting featuring a presentation from Muriel Horacek is Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 7:30 p.m., at the Environmental Services Bureau, 2929 E Willow St, Long Beach.
The presentation, illustrated by a PowerPoint program, is free and open to the public.
