Share a Laugh, Help a Child at the Laugh Factory

laugh-factory-long-beachMark your calendars! The Children’s Clinic, Serving Children and Their Families (TCC) is kicking off their 70th Anniversary with “Share a Laugh, Help a Child” at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach.

The event will take place on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Laugh Factory on 151 South Pine Avenue in Long Beach. Tickets are available by phone at (562) 933-6634.

“Share a Laugh Help a Child is not only the kickoff event for our 70th anniversary but it supports the vital work of TCC providing health care services to uninsured and underinsured children and their families in the Long Beach and South Bay area, states” Dr. Elisa Nicholas, CEO of TCC. “We are very excited about working with the Laugh Factory for this event and providing our supporters with an opportunity to join together in a relaxed, entertaining environment.”

The Children’s Clinic, Serving Children and Their Families was founded in 1939 by a group of local physicians and community leaders. The independent not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) system of licensed community health centers at six sites is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate comprehensive health care, health promotion and disease prevention to children, youth and adults. Each year, more than 18,600 medically underserved, low income and high-risk children and families are served through more than 55,000 health care visits in the Greater Long Beach area.
