Shooting Results In Murder

crime-scene-tape bus stop murderOn Monday, April 11, 2011, Long Beach Police officers responded to a call of a possible shooting that was later determined to be a murder.

Shortly after 10 p.m., Long Beach Police officers were called to the area of Anaheim Street and Molino Avenue to investigate shots heard in the area. They arrived and discovered the body of an adult male who appeared to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim is being identified as Oscar Vega, a 19-year-old resident of Long Beach. His family has been notified. This shooting is being investigated as possibly gang related and the investigation is ongoing. As of now, there is no suspect information.     Oscar Vega was my homie they took his life away a day after his birthday. Rest in peace you’ll be missed, your gone but you’ll always be remembered. I cant believe you left so soon =(
