Shootings leave 3 injured; police suspect gang involvement

Two apparently gang-related shootings left one boy critically wounded and two more hospitalized in stable condition, announced Long Beach police this morning.
The younger boy, age 12, was shot near Seventh Street and Magnolia Avenue during a family barbeque about 10 p.m. Sunday. Two 15-year-old teens were shot a couple of blocks away, while riding bicycles at Seventh Street and Daisy Avenue. The names of the three boys were not released.
According to police Sgt. Dina Zapalski, the shootings appear to be related. No arrests have been made.

LBPost recently reported that there may be a fourth victim. A male was shot around 8:41 p.m. Sunday night at Pine and Plymouth Street. No further details are available yet.
