The Queen Mary lights up Labor Day weekend with Shoreline Jam August 30 – 31, followed by the sixth annual Long Beach Funk Fest on September 1. Single day tickets for the two-day Shoreline Jam festival will go on-sale August 1 and single day tickets for Long Beach Funk Fest are currently on-sale now.

Shoreline Jam’s new two-day festival format offers even more live music to fill the Labor Day holiday weekend at the Queen Mary’s Waterfront Event Park. Saturday, August 30 is lead by The Dirty Heads, hot off the release of their acclaimed new album Sound of Change. The band’s fusion of rock, hip-hop, and reggae earned them a #1 single on The Billboard Alternative Chart and a global fan base. The Dirty Heads take the stage at 10 p.m., preceded by roots rock sensation Stick Figure at 8:30 p.m. and the critically acclaimed independent hip-hop duo The Grouch & Eligh at 7 p.m. The Aggrolites’ high-energy dirty reggae will take the stage at 5:30 p.m. C Money and The Players will perform at 4 p.m., The Originalites at 2:30 p.m., Krooked Treez at 1:15 p.m., and Brewfish will kick off the first day of the festival at 12 p.m.

On Sunday, August 31, Shoreline Jam continues with world-renowned reggae rockers, Pepper returning to the festival to headline day two at 10 p.m., preceded by the upbeat reggae stylings of Collie Buddz at 8:15 p.m. J Boog returns to Shoreline Jam with his irresistible soul-reggae at 6:45 p.m., along with fellow returning act Seedless at 5:15 p.m. The Expanders will take the stage at 3:45 p.m., Ethan Tucker at 2:15 p.m., The Simpkin Project at 12:45 p.m., and Jet West will start the day at 12 pm.

The Long Beach Funk Fest will continue the outdoor celebration on Monday, September 1 with a groove-fueled tradition of music known for getting people on their feet. The lineup boasts George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic headlining the 6th annual event. The funk icon will be joined on stage by the best funk artists available including Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Katdelic, The Meters Experience featuring Leo Nocentelli, Delta Nove, Brasil Baile Funk with Gisella, Sea Funk Brass Band, MC Rickey Vincent and more funkadelic artists still to be announced. Live art, dance and the Kid’s Zone of Funkativity will also be returning to the event.

Shoreline Jam single day, general admission tickets are $25 in advance and $35 day of the event. Single day VIP tickets are available for $75 in advance and $100 day of the event. Long Beach Funk Fest single day, general admission tickets are $15 in advance and $20 day of the event. Single day VIP tickets are $45 in advance and $75 day of the event. Single Day tickets for the Long Beach Funk Fest are on sale now at http://www.lbfunkfest.com/.

VIP tickets for both Shoreline Jam and the Long Beach Funk Fest include VIP entrance, exclusive access to the VIP lounge, 2 drink tickets, and free Queen Mary ship access for the day.
