So Cal Sports & Entertainment Festival Set For Aug. 28-29

The 3rd Annual So Cal Sports & Entertainment Festival, part of the 2010 Long Beach Sea Festival and hosted by Olympian and beach volleyball legend Sinjin Smith, will be held Sat. and Sun., Aug 28-29 at Marina Green Park/Alamitos Beach.
The event will feature tournament play in five beach sports: beach volleyball, beach soccer, beach touch football, beach tennis and beach dodge ball. Sports Challenge teams are open to anyone interested in competing. The weekend includes live music, artist showcase, street fair, beer, wine & food garden and a kid’s zone.
The So Cal Sports & Entertainment Festival will take place alongside the Sixes Reunion, a six-person volleyball tournament with costumes and themed teams, with prizes for both Festival and Sixes winners distributed at a post-competition awards ceremony. The Sixes Reunion will have three divisions: Men’s and Women’s. The cost is $350 per team and $500 to register a sponsored team. There is no limit to the number of players.
